The Wade Institute works with K-12 educators in a variety of ways: whether you’re immersed in one of our Customized Professional Learning Services at your school, experimenting with technology at a Focus Workshop, or diving into inquiry-based learning at a Summer Professional Development Institute, you’ll be engaging in high quality, STEM-focused programming designed to enhance your educator toolkit.

The following offerings will provide you with opportunities to get hands-on and minds-on with science, technology and engineering, whether you’re in or out of the classroom!

Discover new ways to excite your students for STEM using content relevant to their daily lives. During our hybrid Academic Year Professional Development Institutes, explore best practices in STEM education by participating in on-site inquiry-based investigations and online learning. Work directly with scientists and engineers, connect with regional resources, and share ideas with your colleagues as you develop classroom curricular units and investigations based on the course content. Spend a week improving your mastery of teaching science using inquiry-based methods while working with our partner institutions that include wildlife sanctuaries, research laboratories, marine science research centers, science and technology center, STEM businesses  and more.
